SummaryAs a main point of contact for your government contracts, you'll manage relationships, oversee performance, and ensure compliance with terms and deliverables. Your role includes negotiating agreements, reviewing contract terms, handling amendments, and responding to inquiries. You'll also review proposals, negotiate terms, and prepare various contractual documents. Primary & Essential AccountabilitiesAdministers and monitors contract performance on assigned government contracts with both direct and indirect customers.Maintains relationships with US Government Contract Officers and/or contract/subcontract managers as key points of contact for assigned contracts to ensure mutual understanding of terms, deliverables, and expectations associated with agreements.May assist with the negotiation and administration of agreements between the company/customers ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.Responsible for reviewing contract solicitation terms, handling contract award confirmations, interpreting agreement terms and conditions, identifying potential issues, reviewing agreement amendments/modifications, and incorporating changes.Reviews contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, identifies risks and areas of concern on contract terms and conditions, and provides contractual advice, guidance, and support to the contract lead/program and operations managers.Responds to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions in a timely manner.Conducts fulfillment of contract deliverables.Proposal review and timely submission for customer requirements.Reviews and analyzes moderately complex price proposals.Negotiates standard terms and conditions.Monitors contract performance and cost controls and ensures compliance with contract terms.Prepares non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSA), Service Orders (SO), and other contractual agreements.Under direction, prepares contractual documents, including the preparation of contract terms and conditions, and assembles contract documentation package.Participates in management review of proposals/contracts and in the conduct of program reviews.Must be flexible in the role and willing to adapt to varying demands in a fast-paced culture.Supports, communicates, reinforces, and defends SES SD mission, values, and culture.

Secondary AccountabilitiesMaintain effective and efficient internal and external customer relations.Actively contributes to the success of the Contracts Department team by supporting other contracts staff during surge workload periods, providing guidance as needed, increasing the professional knowledge base of the Department, and performing special projects as requested.

QualificationsBachelors Degree in related discipline.4 years relatable experience in contracts management.Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and other related federal supplemental regulations.Strong understanding of contract/Purchase Order terms and conditions and detailed knowledge of US Government contracting process including GSA Multiple Award Schedules, Blanket Purchase Orders, sole source and competitive procurements.Comprehensive knowledge of the terms and conditions appropriate for different contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ, etc.) and their proper use.Knowledge of government intellectual property (IP)/ software and data rights clauses and IP marking guidelines.Detailed knowledge of source selection/evaluation process including cost and price analysis.Knowledge of requirements for and experienced in administration of government property.Detailed knowledge of government contract administration duties including subcontract flow downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out, and records retention.Detailed knowledge and thorough understanding of proper drafting, negotiation, and use of contracts, subcontracts, P.O.'s teaming and other forms of agreements.Exceptional attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently; assess priorities; and excellent organizational skills.Self-motivated/proactive in resolving issues, with ability to multi-task and prioritize work.Contract/agreement briefing, negotiation, and review experience.Experience in monitoring contracts/subcontracts of increasing complexity and value.Membership in National Contract Management Association (NCMA) desired.General computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
