Position Summary:As Production Planner you will play a leading role in our company's positive culture by helping us create an effective organization as the automotive industry moves toward an electric future. The Production Planner is responsible for leading the daily operations associated with plant production control activities including: Parts Follow-Up, Plant Scheduling, Engineering Change Management, Inventory Records, and Shipping/Receiving. This role directly supports daily production, this individual acts as the centralized resource for Plant Production and Quality Operations, Procurement Operations, Corporate Logistics, Corporate Scheduling, and Engineering.Roles Responsibilities:Understand production schedules and customer requirements, and new trial activity - then calculate required amounts of material.Review current inventory in-house and PO's for supplier ordersSchedule shipping plans for battery module shipments to customersWork with Engineering, Quality, and Procurement on part availabilityAssess overall capacity to develop recovery plans when delivery performance or quality falls below targetAddress any issues with lead times, logistics, and deliveriesPerform other position related duties as assignedRequirementsQualifications:Basic:Minimum Age: 18 years oldBachelor's degreeMust be eligible to work in the United StatesWhile travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as requiredAbility to build effective cross functional relationships internally and externallyDemonstrated technical problem-solving abilityStrong understanding of the systems and procedures related to production control, supply chain or material handlingMust have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on ExcelPreferred:Bilingual English / KoreanExtensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applicationsExcellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation.Critical thinking and an analytical mindset.Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goal.Working Conditions:Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicalsAbility to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job functionAbility to lift up to 30 poundsBenefit DetailsOur benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, PTO, 401K with company match, and tuition reimbursement.
