Our students become confident advocates, creative problem-solvers, and collaborative leaders.Position Description:A Distinctive Schools Campus Operations Manager will work closely with the School Principal to ensure all financial and operational compliance for the school to ensure the leadership team is able to focus on academic excellence.Job ResponsibilitiesFiscal ManagementConduct annual auditsResponsible for overseeing monthly expense reportsSupport all purchasing processes with School Principal approvalProcess, verify, and deposit all monies received and submittedProcess & verify payroll for salary & hourly employees at the respective campusWork with the School Principal and Distinctive Schools to manage the school’s budget, finances, reports and relationships with outside vendors throughout the school yearStaff ManagementSupervise and Evaluate following positions:Administrative office personnelBefore and After School Coordinators and staff in close partnership with Community School CoordinatorCafeteria and food service partnersMaintenance, cleaning and security personnelSchool MonitorsResponsible for employee on-boarding and off-boarding, including: asset collection, maintenance, and reassignmentManage Time and Attendance for respective personnelOversee After-Care payments and Before-Care stipendsManage payroll for campus staffManage Paid Time Off (PTO) for campus staffFacilities ManagementSupport the facilities team through ordering and management of facilities budgetComplete school walkthroughs twice per dayEnsure instructional materials, furniture, and equipment are properly stored and accessibleManage facility contractors and work with CICS Facilities Manager on building projectsWork with appropriate staff to ensure hallway and general facility decor are updated and maintainedTechnologyServe as school point person for all instructional technology and student information systemsWork closely with Distinctive Schools’ Technology Team to troubleshoot and solve day-to-day technology issuesDirect the full process of student and school information systemsOversee the creation and distribution of progress reports and report cardsEnsure smooth management of student and family orientations, parent/teacher conferences, receipt of student/family deliverables and organization of new and returning family orientationRegulation and Reporting RequirementsEnsure school-wide compliance with health and safety lawsWork with the School Principal to prepare for charter school site and renewal visits, Distinctive Schools accountability site visits, and auditsOversee testing coordination and work with the special projects coordinator to ensure standardized tests (including NWEA and PARCC) are properly administered, stored, and returned schedulingEnsure appropriate personnel are aware of student and staff schedulesOversee coverage schedules and ensure all posts are covered, including: before school, lunch, and after school.Assist in scheduling family-teacher conferences, family events, standardized testing, use of AV equipment, and the computer/laptop cartPartnerships with DS Teams and Campus CommunitySupport Community Schools Coordinator in managing relationships with all outside organizations (in conjunction with Distinctive Schools as appropriate)Collaborate on school’s efforts to partner with community leaders, organizations, state and local charter school events/meetingsWork closely with the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)Assist technology team to troubleshoot and solve day-to-day technology issuesIn partnership with Campus Technology Coordinator and IT manager, serve as additional technical resource for instructional technology and student information systemsLogistics (Management and Facilitation)Field TripsBook field trips (including facilitation and logistics to and from event), planning meals, and processing paymentsOversee Office Manager to manage student participation including distribution of permission slipsProvide materials to visiting guestsBe available to lead some tour groupsRequirements:Education:Bachelors’ DegreeQualifications:At least 3 years of operations experiencePrevious experience managing multiple staff membersProficient in cloud-based software Solutions (Google Suite)Ability to learn digital tools and programs as needed for the positionPhysical demands:Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and fine finger dexterity.
