Job Responsibilities:The

Senior Manager, ADA Forsyth Institute Certification

position manages the day-to-day operation and assists in the growth of the ADA Forsyth Certification Program professional products. This involves:Managing the work of the Professional Products Certification Committee to review and approve the ADA- Forsyth Certification markAssuring that relevant category requirements and standards are in place to support CertificationContributing to the strategic planning and establishment of this new programContributing to the identification and screening of opportunities for new and innovative product categoriesContributing to strategic expansion and reach of the program by coordinating team efforts with internal and external partnersMust Have:Ph.D., or equivalent in Material Sciences or Engineering fieldsA minimum of 8 years' experience analyzing and interpreting scientific data, and authoring and editing complex scientific documents; or Master's degree and 11 years of experienceExperience planning and executing complex projects from inception to implementation;Proficiency using a range of research related resourcesPrevious experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a team-based environmentExcellent oral & written communication, presentation, and analytical skillsAbility to present technical and scientific information in a manner that is clear and concise to scientists and non-scientistsAbility to develop and/or analyze research plans and research proposals and properly interpret statistical resultsAbility to critically analyze and evaluate scientific research, and to make sound conclusions, decisions and recommendations to ADA agenciesProficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Ability for occasional evening and weekend work/meetingsAbility for 10-25% travelNice to Have:Preferred areas of research should be focused on material science, with knowledge of dental professional productsExperience mentoring junior staff and studentsExperience managing collaborative activities with internal and external stakeholdersPublication in peer-reviewed journalsTraining/experience in clinical research in dentistryKnowledge of dental researchSAS or Stata; SigmaPlot or similar applicationsJust a few of the benefits offered to employees:Promotes Work/Life BalanceHealth insurance/ dental reimbursement planAmple Paid time off401(k)PensionFlexible Spending AccountLife insuranceTuition reimbursementPaid Parental LeavePet InsuranceStudent Loan Refinance2 days off to work at a charity event of your choiceThe American Dental Association is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
