Job Responsibilities:

The

Senior Manager, ADA Forsyth Institute Certification

position manages the day-to-day operation and assists in the growth of the ADA Forsyth Certification Program professional products. This involves:

Managing the work of the Professional Products Certification Committee to review and approve the ADA-Forsyth Certification mark.

Assuring that relevant category requirements and standards are in place to support Certification.

Contributing to the strategic planning and establishment of this new program.

Contributing to the identification and screening of opportunities for new and innovative product categories.

Contributing to strategic expansion and reach of the program by coordinating team efforts with internal and external partners.

Must Have:

Ph.D., or equivalent in Material Sciences or Engineering fields.

A minimum of 8 years' experience analyzing and interpreting scientific data, and authoring and editing complex scientific documents; or a Master's degree and 11 years of experience.

Experience planning and executing complex projects from inception to implementation.

Proficiency using a range of research-related resources.

Previous experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a team-based environment.

Excellent oral & written communication, presentation, and analytical skills.

Ability to present technical and scientific information in a manner that is clear and concise to scientists and non-scientists.

Ability to develop and/or analyze research plans and research proposals and properly interpret statistical results.

Ability to critically analyze and evaluate scientific research, and to make sound conclusions, decisions, and recommendations to ADA agencies.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Ability for occasional evening and weekend work/meetings.

Ability for 10-25% travel.

Nice to Have:

Preferred areas of research should be focused on material science, with knowledge of dental professional products.

Experience mentoring junior staff and students.

Experience managing collaborative activities with internal and external stakeholders.

Publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Training/experience in clinical research in dentistry.

Knowledge of dental research.

SAS or Stata; SigmaPlot or similar applications.
