The Position:To provide management and leadership to accounts receivable/Bursar staff. To provide recommendations for enhancing customer service and making processes more effective and efficient in all areas of responsibility.Key Responsibilities:Oversees the revenue and collection process, including the recording of revenue through Banner and Workday and reconciliation of the accounting feeds (cash clearing reconciliation).Oversees account billings process for external and internal customers, including degree and non-degree students, skills training students, and third party sponsors.Routinely reviews accounts receivable balances and implements regional invoicing procedures.Provide the Chief Operating Officer with a proposed write-off listing of those accounts greater than one year, in accordance with College policy.Evaluating the collection process and customer service provided by the Bursar office to provide efficient and customer oriented ways to improve student experience.Provide students with general information concerning billing options, scholarship opportunities, and other sources of assistance available to them for continuing their education.Oversee tuition waiver and deferral process provided to students by request.Respond to customer complaints.In conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for maintaining proper internal controls and ensuring compliance with College policies and procedures in all areas of responsibility.Responsible for reviewing students in a non-paid status and implementing strategies to reduce the number of non-paid drops each term.The above is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.Education:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree with three to five years related experience.Team player and demonstrated leadership capabilities.Effective project manager able to implement projects with key stakeholders on time and within budget.Must have high ethical standards and ability to exercise sound judgment in dealing with politically sensitive situations and catering to differing interests.Ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.Excellent organizational, verbal, written and listening skills.Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and Web based applications.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster’s degree preferred.Prior Bursar Office experience.Banner and Workday software experience.Must demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.Starting Salary Range:

$65,000 - $75,000 annually (based on experience).Classification:
