Are you an experienced Staff Accountant looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a Contract Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team for 3 to 6 months. This role is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills in financial reporting, account receivable, account reconciliation, general ledger, and financial accounting. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate preparation and delivery of financial statements, conducting financial audits, and managing accounting software. Your proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, will be crucial in this role.
As a contractor, you receive FULL benefits that are 75% paid for you and 25% for dependents, as well as 401K!!

Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Manage accounts receivable, including billing and collections, ensuring timely and accurate processing.Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.Conduct financial audits, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.Utilize accounting software, specifically Deltek CostPoint, to manage financial information.Use Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data, including the use of VLOOKUP and pivot tables.Prepare the organization for financial audits by ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.Support the finance team in other tasks as required,Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a nonprofit organization.Proficiency in Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable, Account Reconciliation, General Ledger, and Financial Accounting.Experience with Accounting Software, specifically Deltek CostPoint.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.Experience in preparing for and conducting financial audits.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
