The Labor Center's curricula and leadership training serve to educate a diverse new generation of labor leaders.Position SummaryReporting to the Director of Operations, the Operations Coordinator facilitates operational activities to include finance, facilities, space planning, human resources, to improve the operations of the Labor Center.ResponsibilitiesFINANCE:Coordinate and perform a full scope of procurement, reimbursement, and payment functions.Coordinate staff financial activities: review and ensure accuracy on all Berkeley Financial System transactions.Research complex financial discrepancies and vendor concerns.Manage and perform the independent contractor onboarding process.Provide guidance, direction, and training to internal campus users and external partners.BUDGET:In collaboration with the Director of Operations, develop and monitor budgets for Labor Center events.Assist with the internal annual budget development process.Review actuals in the Oracle Budget Planning System for non-personnel expenses.HUMAN RESOURCES:Assist the Operations Director with recruitment, hiring, and onboarding/offboarding activities.ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT:Provide assistance and training to administrative support staff.IT, FACILITIES & SAFETY:Coordinate office and equipment preparation for new hires.Required QualificationsSolid communication and interpersonal skills.Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task.Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.Preferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of common campus-specific computer application programs.Salary & BenefitsThis is a 100% full-time (40 hrs a week) non-exempt career position, which is paid hourly and eligible for UC Benefits.How to ApplyTo apply, please submit your resume and cover letter.Equal Employment OpportunityThe University of California is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
