Salary: $150,000-$170,000

Job SummaryAs the Regional User Experience Director, you'll be at the forefront of transforming our food and beverage operations throughout the US and Canada. At the core, this role will lead, oversee and optimize the food experience, by fostering a culture that consistently delivers convenience, fun, and a strong sense of belonging.

You'll spearhead the development and launch of our inaugural Experience Team, ensuring that every guest interaction, from the moment a guest enters to the time they leave, is positive, memorable, and aligned with the Food Program, Compass and RA’s brand's image. By driving a region-wide strategy, you'll empower and inspire our managers and hourly associates to deliver on this vision, creating a truly memorable experience at every touch point.

This role is based in Chicago, IL.

The Great Things You Will Do:Hospitality & Culinary

Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall hospitality experience for our guests.

Monitor and evaluate hospitality performance at the site and regional level.

Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for staff to ensure exceptional customer interaction, handling feedback effectively, and exceeding guest expectations.

Actively collect and analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.

Foster a positive work environment and work with teams to drive empowerment and pride in delivering exceptional food experiences.

Oversee the development and implementation of innovative and tailored culinary offerings to drive user experience and satisfaction.

Ensure that our menu offerings are diverse, balanced, and aligned with customer preferences.

Collaborate with culinary teams to design menus and food offerings that are appealing, diverse, and cater to different dietary needs, while maintaining food quality, taste, presentation, and efficiency.

Collaborate with the catering and events teams, including menu customization, staff coordination, and logistics to ensure that those experiences mirror our standards and create engaging spaces with "wow-factor" food and presentation experiences.

Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and consistency across all dishes served.

Digital

Provide UX-centered support for the development and implementation of digital tools and technologies.

Ensure that our digital tools are user-friendly, efficient, and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Collaborate with technology teams to optimize the user experience of our digital platforms.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience as a User Experience Director or in a similar role within the food and beverage industry.

Deep understanding of user experience principles and best practices.

Ability to problem solve and tackle problems with objectivity and a can-do attitude. Ability to think strategically and provide concrete plans and solutions.

Drive communication and collaboration - capability to clearly convey program vision, expectations, and feedback. Encourage active listening in order to foster a space where new ideas are welcomed.

Emotional Intelligence - drive self-awareness of the teams' behaviors and the impact it has on the surrounding community. Model empathy and authenticity amongst the team.

Demonstrate adaptability and strength in adjusting to changing environments with ease and efficiency.

Motivate and inspire the team - understand what motivates them and how to encourage them to drive their engagement and hospitality.

Experience in multi-unit, multi-city operation, and managing teams.

Ability to think creatively and strategically.

Have a deep passion for delicious food, exceptional hospitality, and food space design.

8 - 10 years of experience within the hospitality industry, client-facing, or food service industry.
