Performs and documents a wide variety of audits, advisory services, and investigation projects, including projects of moderate to high complexity. Works closely with other Audit and Advisory Services staff in a collaborative team approach to complete projects and help ensure that the organization meets its goals and objectives.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.4-5 years of Higher Education auditing experience.Thorough knowledge of the audit profession, theories and systems of internal control, and professional auditing standards.Broad knowledge of finance, accounting, business, and systems operations.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to present sensitive information clearly.Experience working with TeamMate Auditing Solutions.Preferred Qualifications

7-8 years of Higher Education auditing experience.Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) within 1-1/2 years.Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).Experience using data analytics tools.Special Conditions of Employment

Maintain a valid CA driver's license and a clean DMV record.Satisfactory conviction history background check.UCSB is a Tobacco-Free environment.Job Functions and Percentages of Time

60% Audits

- Conducts entrance conferences, performs preliminary surveys, completes risk assessments, conducts audit fieldwork, and drafts audit reports.10% External Audit Coordination

- Facilitates external auditor(s) work space and meetings.10% Investigations

- Performs investigative work regarding suspected Improper Governmental Activities.10% Advisory Services

- Performs advisory services such as internal control reviews and special projects.10% Department Admin/Project Ownership/Teamwork/Professional Development
