Family Law Attorney

Peak Partners has a client who is a regional law firm looking for a Family Law Associate for their Virginia practice. The ideal candidate will assume immediate responsibility, playing a key role in highly diverse family law and fiduciary matters working with multiple partners.The firm offers a competitive compensation package with excellent benefits. This is a hybrid position.Responsibilities:Conduct legal research and analysis on various family law issues.Assist senior attorneys in drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Interview clients to gather relevant information and assist in case strategy development.Attend court hearings, mediation sessions, and other legal proceedings.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case.Participate in all aspects of case development from its inception to conclusion.Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop negotiation and litigation strategies.Stay updated on changes in family law statutes, regulations, and case law.Provide support in client consultations and meetings, offering legal advice and guidance as appropriate.Qualifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the VA state bar (DC and MD a plus) and in good standing.Minimum of three years of experience practicing family law, including hands-on experience with divorce, child custody, support, and other family law matters.Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.Proficiency in legal research tools and software.Judicial clerkship experience preferred.If you think you have the qualifications stated above and are interested in exploring a new opportunity, we welcome the chance to review your resume and talk further.
