At Summit Materials, we support our teammates who lay the groundwork for our communities and live by our core values: Safety, Integrity, Sustainability, and Inclusivity.OverviewAs the Manager, Financial Applications – Viewpoint ERP, you will play a key role in the organization’s ability to deliver business value by leveraging resources (People, Process and Technology) to benefit Summit Materials Systems users. This role provides guidance, training, and oversight in the capability and maturity development of systems as well as the organizational change management critical for adoption, acceptance, and sustainability of these capabilities.This role also supports a good standing in the community, sustainable operations, and adheres to and upholds all company policies, safety standards, and federal/state regulations.Lead and develop the Finance Applications team, including mentoring, coaching, goal setting and performance management.Champion systems compliance by assuring SOX compliance working with Internal Audit.Develop and monitor the financial application tasks for acquisitions.Participate in project teams to implement new financial software.Assist team members by providing technical application expertise in Viewpoint.Manage team resourcing and execution per commitments.Manage application support function to improve process and application issues.Attract, retain, develop, and promote talent to build a team with an optimal balance of experience and diverse capabilities.Plan, coordinate and execute system software updates, with minimal impact for business users.Ongoing training & documentation for all system users.Other duties may be required and will be assigned as necessary.Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent years of related work experience.5+ years of systems support experience with Viewpoint-Vista.In-depth knowledge of Viewpoint modules, including setup, process improvement and solving issues.Intermediate/advanced level understanding of how the Viewpoint modules interact with general ledger, equipment, job cost, inventory, and material sales.Integration experience connecting Viewpoint to other systems - timecard, accounts payable, accounts receivable and others.Strong customer service orientation, including the ability to work effectively in a professional manner with technology staff, business stakeholders, end users, management, and others outside the organization.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and build/grow a capable team.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail, with the ability to remain organized and self-motivated.Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks while under pressure.Ability to exercise independent judgement and act on it.Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, while building rapport with team members and external agencies.High level of integrity and commitment to comply with all applicable federal/state/industry compliance, record keeping, regulations and standards.Due to the nature of this position, it is essential that the teammate be available to report to the designated work site/office and be ready to begin work when scheduled, including the ability to travel 10% with or without notice.Must be able to pass pre-employment screening which may include a physical, background check, and drug screen.Build a lasting career with us.
