This is an exceptionally outstanding opportunity to join Swift as a Release Manager - Operations. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our software releases are deployed flawlessly and meet strict operational standards. Your work will be essential in maintaining the world-class service that our global community relies on.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop and manage release schedules in collaboration with development, QA, and IT operations teams.
  • Coordinate release activities across multiple teams to ensure that operational requirements are met.
  • Prepare and review release packages, ensuring all components are ready for deployment.


Deployment Management:
  • Manage the deployment of software releases to production and pre-production environments.
  • Coordinate the execution of deployment plans, including rollback procedures in case of failures.
  • Ensure all deployment activities are detailed and adhere to operational standards.


Continuous Improvement:
  • Assess and improve operational release processes by incorporating automation and standard methodologies to improve efficiency and mitigate risk.


Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of release planning, release changes, release deviations, release progress, and closure.
  • Keep collaborators informed by providing regular status updates and post-release reports.


Qualifications
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in release management, IT operations, or related roles within a software development environment.
  • Proven experience managing software releases in large-scale production environments.


Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of IT operations, system administration, or network management.
  • Proficiency with release management and deployment tools like Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow.


Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Skill in effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Diligent with a focus on operational excellence.


Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $75,460.00 to $140,140.00 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employees contingent on personal and company performance. Our generous benefits program includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance with no premium costs for our employees and their families, and retirement plan plus matching 401k.
