This is subject to change due to the BHA’s needs.8-5 Monday through FridayAbout this Unit:The Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) is a permanent entity responsible for leading and promoting the state’s behavioral health priorities, including efforts across agencies, creating shared goals, improving collaboration, and driving accountability and transparency. BHA provides oversight and coordinates service standards across the hundreds of behavioral health programs that currently exist under multiple state agencies and the Judicial Branch.The Division of BHA Engagement provides a range of leadership, management, and supervisory functions related to the delivery of public Behavioral Health services throughout the State of Colorado.About this Position:The Division Director supervises the managers for two units that represent the full continuum of care for all children in Colorado. This includes programming in the areas of prevention, screening, assessment, care coordination, clinical services, and recovery. This position is responsible for ensuring the Division is cohesive and functioning consistently internally to achieve BHA’s goals.The Division Director is expected to manage and lead state staff in successfully executing the state’s role as a supervisory agency. The Division Director must provide coaching and mentorship to the direct reports in their respective area of responsibility and expertise.The Division Director is expected to assist senior leadership to provide leadership for the state in Behavioral Health related issues.Supervision:Supervise managers of the Division of Engagement and provide leadership to implement the priorities of the units within the Division.

Meets regularly with the unit managers to receive feedback and direction to ensure that the team is meeting timelines and to oversee and assess progress on goals, projects, and priorities.

Disseminate information and direction that is received from the Executive Core team to units within the Division.

Approves identified training needs for the Division as well as established priorities and budget for staff training.

Responsible for ensuring the Division projects and activities are cohesive and functioning consistently internally.

Responsible for developing strong relationships with staff across BHA and with external partners.

Strategic Planning:Collaborates with the Deputy Commissioner of Children and Youth Continuum to develop and make strategic decisions for the Division.

Determines and assures alignment with BHA goals.

This position assures management is provided with a forum and leadership to the strategic planning process.

Option 1 (Minimum Qualifications)Ten (10) years of diverse experience encompassing clinical experience/direct practice working with underserved populations, and/or behavioral health. Must have experience in both supervision and the children's care continuum.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a system of care for children and youth with behavioral health challenges and their families.Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience after completion of training in child and adolescent clinical work.Clinical licensure (LAC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, Licensed Psychologist).Conditions of Employment:This position travels throughout Colorado to meet with community members/partners.This position is delegated as a hybrid position.ADAA Accommodations:
