Inside the RoleThe Vocational and Medium Duty Product Marketing Manager connects DTNA's products and business solutions to our customers, and equips our Dealers and internal Sales teams with the right information, at the right time, as simply as possible. As Product Marketing Manager, you will be part of the Market Development team, whose work directly contributes to DTNA's collective success, and the success of our Dealer partners, our Truck Equipment Manufacturers, our end-user Customers, and our longer-term strategic goals. You and your team will have Product Marketing responsibility for all Freightliner and Western Star products in the Vocational and Medium Duty segments, and will shape and execute the strategies and tactical plans that help ensure DTNA's market leadership in that space.

Position offers a starting salary range of

$121,500.00- $151,000.00 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNALead a team that is the face and voice of Freightliner and Western Star products both internally and externally for the Vocational and Medium Duty segmentsLead, coach, and develop direct-report team members across multiple locations while fostering a DE&I-principled culture built on a foundation of trust, support, collaboration, and creativitySynthesize for our customers and be genuine in your communication of the what and why behind DTNA's business solutionsAnalyze and use all opportunities to optimize budget in order to grow and maintain strategic markets and segments. This includes but is not limited to customer events, training events, truck shows, digital communications, strategic pricing and promotionsActively monitor product development timelines through visual management to ensure that relevant product marketing materials are prepared and shared in a timely and coordinated way, and collaborate with other impacted teams (Training, Platform Strategy, Segment Strategy, etc.)Develop, maintain, and execute communication plans and content for our internal and external customers (Sales, Dealers, end-user Customers, etc.)Collaborate with Sales teams on strategic priorities for dealer and customer engagement, promotions and incentives, and the conquest of new customers through special programs (seed unit, corporate inventory, etc.)Collaborate with the On Highway Market Development teams to ensure DTNA is delivering consistent messaging, services, and processesCollaborate with the Brand Communications and Digital Marketing teams to communicate your team's vision and priorities and to ensure the alignment of product attributes, model positioning, segment focus, and customer experience with overall department strategiesCollaborate with partners in the emerging technology teams (EMG, ATG, CSG) to ensure consistent messaging and to look for opportunities to showcase and promote DTNA's total-value to dealers and end-user customersCollaborate with Segment Strategy:Develop go-to-market strategies for new models and product optionsCapture and create communications materials on key features, advantages and benefits, launch timing, and spec packagesDevelop marketing pre-series truck specs for trade shows.Maintain product positioning between both brands and ensure that the Product Marketing team is focusing its energy on initiatives that synchronize with the Segment Team's strategic goals

Collaborate with Sales and Brand Communications teams to develop the vision and execution for presence at relevant trade shows, industry events, dealer training, and customer/press ride and drives as neededConceptualize and execute relevant and innovative strategies and techniques for product demonstrations, ride-and-drives, truck walk-arounds, and other activities that increase customer hands-on product experience and connections to our business solutionsUse market segment intelligence, including sales performance data and insights from customer feedback and the Segment Strategy team(s) to develop marketing effortsParticipate and communicate to members of the TEM and end-user customer councils, and Vocational JADThe Vocational & Medium Duty Product Marketing Manager will:

BS/BA and prefer 8 years of relevant experience (or 3 years of direct relevant experience)Working knowledge and proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPointExcellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent decision making and problem solving skillsExceptional Candidates Might Have

Previous experience with vocational and medium duty product, dealers and customersCDL or ability to obtain CDL preferredFreightliner and/or Western Star product knowledgeKnowledge and experience working with regulatory and or emerging technology topics#LI-TN1 #LI-Hybrid
