Our team embraces development and diversity, constantly seeking new opportunities for innovation and growth, to help shape the future of our agency and set new standards for excellence.ABOUT YOUAs the Director, IT Maritime Systems, you will lead and manage the IT Maritime Team, focusing on high performance and professional growth while fostering strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and IT vendors. Your strategic thinking will guide daily operations and broader departmental goals. With your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, you will handle complex, high-priority issues, providing hands-on support as necessary, including 24-hour emergency response. Efficient budget management will be crucial as you balance operational needs with strategic initiatives, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.What you will do:Lead and mentor the IT Maritime Team, ensuring high performance and professional growth while managing relationships with business units and IT vendors.Oversee the operation and maintenance of maritime IT systems, including workstations, servers, and peripheral devices, ensuring they meet security and operational standards.Respond to incidents and serve as the escalation point for complex or high-priority issues, providing 24-hour emergency support when necessary.Develop and manage the IT Maritime Team budget, balancing operational needs with strategic initiatives to ensure cost-effective resource utilization.WHAT YOU OFFERBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT services, with extensive experience in maritime IT systems and operations.7+ years’ experience managing operational staff in a maritime environment, with strong technical support skills in Terminal Operating Systems and Crane Management systems.Certifications i.e. ITIL, PMP, or relevant technical certifications and proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office.Valid driver's license and the ability to acquire a DHS Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).WHAT WE OFFERCollaboration with colleagues at all levels of leadership from all different disciplines, from Aviation to Maritime and beyond.
