We offer autonomy, flexibility, a modern culture, and the best tools to ensure the success of our individuals and collectively.Role:The Scientist: Antibody Engineering, Mammalian Display Group, will be responsible for the discovery and engineering of Tentarix’s multi-specific Tentacles as well as all activities related to protein and antigen design. The scientist will be expected to work within a high-functioning team of scientists devoted to the generation of antigen binders using our proprietary, stabilized, fully human VH scaffolds and fully human antibodies, the design and production of multi-specifics that target various cellular targets to induce cell-specific immune suppression or immune activation for autoimmunity and immuno-oncology, respectively, and the development of innovative novel methods for protein and multi-specific design and screening.Responsibilities:Contribute to all aspects of binder discovery including multi-specific Tentacle library design, screening, and hit characterization.Design antigen or antigen fragments to meet program goals.Utilize a background in protein design to propose and construct novel multi-specific compounds to achieve project-specific therapeutic goals.Interpret, summarize, and report research findings in team meetings and ensure timely documentation in electronic notebook.Communicate effectively within the Antibody Engineering, Mammalian Display team, and other functional teams to enhance efficiencies and feedback across our research group.Experience with antibody engineering and biophysical characterization, including expertise in the interpretation of data from analytical SEC, biolayer interferometry (BLI), cell binding assays, or overlapping methods.Experience with one or more high throughput in-vitro discovery or design methodologies including phage display, yeast display, or other techniques is highly desired.Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Molecular biology, or similar field with an emphasis on protein design, and 0-2+ years of industry experience.Qualifications and Skills:Goal oriented, organized, capable of prioritizing across multiple projects, and able to execute to timelines that meet company goals.A track record of innovation and scientific rigor, strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and ability to contribute constructively to discussions.Thrive in a cross functional team environment and committed to positively contributing to Tentarix supportive small company culture.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Confident, independent and decisive; proactive and results-oriented with high performance standards.Hands-on contributor who understands the need for involvement at all levels of activity within a small company environment.Commitment to exhibiting the highest levels of integrity, ethics and scientific standards.The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
