FORVIA is looking for a Year-Round Industrial Engineering Intern for our Louisville, KY location.

Position Summary:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer Intern to join our production launch team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry, working on projects that drive efficiency and innovation in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the process engineers in the analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.2. Support the development and implementation of lean manufacturing techniques along with the FES team (Faurecia Excellence System)3. Conduct time and motion studies to identify areas for process improvement with the UAP team.4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (logistics, quality, maintenance and HSE) to design and implement process improvements.5. Assist in the creation of process documentation, visual aids, and standard work instructions to reinforce the 8 Quality Basics mindset.6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to problem-solving efforts.7. Collect and analyze data with the digital team to support the production manager in decision-making and production planning.8. Provide support for various engineering projects as needed.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have/be:• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).• Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools.• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.• Preferred Prior internship or project experience in a manufacturing environment
