Your mission, roles and responsibilities
The Sr. Controller is responsible for Program, R&D, and Operations Controlling for our AD Product Division. This includes financial aspects for one or several Business Accounting Units (BAUs), and one or several programs with high level of complexity (high sales volume, high upfront amount, international footprint), at acquisition through serial life phase; ensures the data reliability in line with process and finance program golden rules, and the optimization of the programs' profitability and cash; oversees financial issues, including budgeting, month-end reporting, internal controls, and year-end audits; ensures that the corporate assets are protected by maintaining internal control environment. This role assists management to make profitable business decisions; controls program reporting and estimating of program costs on assigned program/s and manages cost estimating systems to ensure accurate program reporting and quoting to customers.
The main missions of the role are :
Program Controlling:
Ensure program controlling procedures and Golden Rules compliance
Secure business plan and customer (offer & LOI) /supplier contractual offer consistency
Secure BP consistency with payment terms/amount for Tooling, D&D, Piece price, raw mat update, Volume update, Exchange Rate
Provide request for quotation (RFQ) BP and Initial Business Plan (IBP) at acquisition phase
Support fully the Program Manager in all financial impacts investigations to help driving the program profitability towards target
Provide Make or Buy financial analysis
Validate hours booked by cost center & functions to the program on monthly basis
Validate opened & closed Work Package Participate to budget preparation (hours & expenses forecast / program)
Organize Risk & Opportunity financial backing
Provide program financial communication towards core team, management and plants involved
Update BP & bridge the gap between release
Prepare Forecast/Budget/PMT inputs (PPA, costs, selling price, cash, etc.)
Provide loss to completion calculation for the related program
Provide monthly (at least quarterly) financial inputs for the program dashboard
Highlight Program Cash status and provide recommendation to the management
Contribute to the elaboration of Mid Term Plan, budget, and forecasts for the R&D center
Contribute to the analysis of the variances and propose appropriate corrective actions working closely with the program management teams
Develop, execute, and control internal procedures including spending authorizations in respect of corporate policies
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Site/Operations and R&D Controlling:
Ensure compliance to all financial procedures
Develop, execute, and control internal finance procedures including spending authorization in accordance with Group procedures and policies
Ensure site activities are compliant with Faurecia finance related procedures (product flow, inventory, routings, …), and internal control basics
Provide reliable financial/controlling information in close relationship with other operational and support functions
Lead all financial forecasting processes (budget (WBS), periodic forecast, assets, hours booking)
Manage reporting process ensuring reliability, consistency, transparency and delay compliance
Ensure reliability of standard costing
Provide all necessary controlling analysis including variance analysis/standard costs, margin/programs, US and Mexico site budgetary control (inventory, cash), squeeze management and follow up of sales and purchasing prices
Collaborate with Shared Service Center obtaining/providing/validating proper finance information
Control and manage the site’s operating cash flow (capex, inventories, overdues)
In liaison with Shared Service Center provide all necessary information requested by internal and external auditors, and others local external authorities
Participate, with the management of the site, in the development of action plans resulting from relevant analysis to achieve the operational targets, increase site’s financial profitability and cash optimization (especially identification and implementation of productivity plans)
Qualifications : Minimum education level: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience : 8 years controller (plant environment preferred)
Skills & Competencies :
Ability to provide qualitative and reliable information, and to work on a project management basis
Ability to manage uncertainty and resist to stakeholder pressure
Strong communication skills
Autonomy
Good negotiation skills and arbitration abilities
Good knowledge of Faurecia Business Model
SAP and Hyperion experience (autonomous in SAP)
Understanding of IFRS accounting standards
