Associate Director for Title IX and Student Care Team Case Management

The Associate Director for Case Management will support and supervise graduate student employees and professional staff, as needed. The Associate Director will provide overall case management support to the Title IX office and Student Care Team. This position serves as chair/co-chair of the Title IX Prevention Education Committee and assists the Title IX Case Management directors in tracking reports for Title IX. This position will assist the University Title IX Coordinator in preparing and drafting Title IX Program reports, report writing, and audit assessments, as needed. The Associate Director reports to the Director for Title IX and Prevention Education and has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Director of Student Care Team for Case Management.DutiesProgram Development:

This position will create and expand learning opportunities for campus partners in the areas of Title IX and the Student Care Team (SCT) by delivering campus-wide presentations. This includes empowering the graduate student employees to innovate and identify creative strategies to reach students. Create presentations and training materials to support student and staff education efforts. Develop curriculum and training for campus partners on SCT and Title IX. Assist in creating prevention education and awareness (of Title IX and SCT) for students across all schools. Assist in developing peer education programs for Title IX and SCT. Develop and co-present presentations during New Student Orientation and New Employee Orientation to share these resources. Lead or co-lead regular team meetings, SCT, and Title IX, and serve as co-chair for the Prevention Education Committee. Co-manage the StepUp gender-based violence leadership program.Case Management:

Provide direct care/case management to students across all 6 schools, including creating coordination of student care plans, assessing student needs through the intake process, and advising students on supportive measures. Facilitate student linkages to resources on and off campus; maintain updated information in the database that informs and tracks student care. Provide consultation, guidance, and direction on Prevention Education efforts to students, faculty, and staff audiences. On behalf of SCT and Title IX, serve as the liaison between the team and key stakeholders, i.e., parents and Sr. Administrators, as needed. Consult with SCT/Title IX team and students on the Interim Medical Restriction (IMR) process, specifically understanding and communicating student reentry conditions. This position will foster relationships with key stakeholders, i.e. faculty and staff, to best support student care. Ensure the database is updated and enhance systems to manage cases effectively.Reports:

The Associate Director will collaborate with the SCT and Title IX Directors, and provide oversight on the compliance audits regarding University and department policies, standards, and procedures. Assist Directors in tracking achievements of OKRs; prepare Data Summary Reports, update the monthly Dashboard for Title IX reports, complete the Story Reports for Title IX, the Semester Reports, and contribute to the Annual Program Report in partnership with the Directors of SCT and Title IX, and the Associate Vice President. Actively engage and contribute to the Report Writing and the Grant Application process. Assist in the preparation and implementation of the NCHA Survey and other campus-wide Student Affairs assessments, as needed.Supervision and Management:

The Associate Director will review and assign new referrals to Title IX and SCT, accordingly, and provide case consultation as required. Determine the severity of the intakes and decide on the strategy for case follow-up, which includes making referrals, providing resources, issuing release of information forms, and monitoring the timely response from the students' health providers. Partner with SCT, Title IX Directors, and Associate Vice President to update case management policies and protocols. Provide coaching, mentoring, and supervision to Case Managers, as needed. Supervise graduate student interns/employees related to programming, and provide weekly supervision that supports professional development. Oversee training and onboarding for all new student employees and graduate student interns; including hiring, orientation, training, and weekly one-on-one meetings. Contribute to planning staff retreats and assist in facilitating team meetings and team development efforts. Organizes, schedules, and attends marketing and tabling events related to Student Care Team and Title IX. Plan and lead at least one six-week RISE Together Chapel during the fall semester. Occasionally respond to crisis calls during non-business hours and provide coverage on a rotational basis, escalating when needed to the Associate Vice President. This position may require after-hour coverage, during weekends, birthdays, holidays, and special events.Perform other duties, as assigned.Uphold the University's mission through work performed. As a staff member in Student Affairs who works closely with students, this person serves as a Christian role model and promotes a biblical worldview.Skills and QualificationsRequired: Master's degree in Social Work or a related field. Two years of supervisory experience working with college students. Experience planning and giving presentations and developing curriculum. Experience creating care plans to support student success and well-being. Ability to integrate Christian faith with student development theories and practice. Personal faith in Jesus Christ; active involvement in a local church; demonstrated support for the Christian mission of the University. Excellent organizational skills; public speaking skills; and ability to develop positive relationships with students and staff colleagues. Excellent written and oral communication. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, managing Databases, Email, Outlook and Basic office equipment, Zoom, and other online meeting platforms, Social Media, and experience with statistical analysis software/SPSS.Preferred: Student development and coaching, crisis intervention experience. Knowledge and practice in the field of social work and resilience in higher education. Diversity and inclusion training. Experience in data collection and report writing. Skills in team building, evaluation, and assessment, and experience with older adolescent development in a college setting. Ability to supervise and manage graduate students.Qualified individuals should be able to articulate a strong commitment to diversity, and have the ability to work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.This is a Regular, Exempt, 40 hour per week position.Expected Pay Range: $78,000 - $82,000 per year. The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
