Overview

JST is currently seeking a Senior Acquisition Specialist - APSO (Acquisition function) to join our team. This is a full-time Onsite position with potential hybrid/remote work at Defense Health Agency (DHA) headquarters, Virginia. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The Senior Acquisition Specialist - APSO (Acquisition function) shall be professional in demeanor, appearance, and deportment. Employees shall be responsive. The Administrative Assistant may be required to interface with senior Government and industry officials. Personnel shall have excellent written and oral communications skills sufficient to provide clear concise communication and documentation. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project as well as with Adobe Acrobat.

Senior Acquisition Specialist Responsibilities

Utilize your DAWIA certification to support acquisition activities.

Responsible for federal acquisition planning, execution, and administration activities with extensive knowledge or understanding of DoD-related acquisition.

Responsible for designing and implementing operating models within DoD in support of medical acquisition buying activities.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Senior Acquisition Specialist Qualifications

A bachelor's degree is required.

Must have achieved Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Certified - Contracting Level II or equivalent.

Experience in federal acquisition planning, execution, and administration activities with extensive knowledge or understanding of DoD-related acquisition.

Experience in designing and implementing operating models within DoD in support of medical acquisition buying activities.

Must have exceptional knowledge or understanding in supporting the office in an administrative capacity.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (ex: Word, Excel, and Access).

Skilled in preparing and submitting documents in a DOD Format.

Required Clearances and Screenings

MUST be able to pass a US Government Security Clearance.
