$115,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Cardiovascular Services to lead our Cardiac Cath Lab and cardiovascular programs in Sanford, NC. This role requires a seasoned Registered Nurse with extensive experience in cardiac care, particularly in a cardiac catheterization lab setting, and a strong background in leadership and management. The Director will oversee the daily operations, strategic planning, and quality improvement initiatives for the cardiovascular department.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction for the Cardiovascular
Services department, including the Cardiac Cath Lab, ensuring high
standards of patient care and safety.
Oversee the planning, development, and implementation
of cardiovascular programs and services.
Manage and mentor a team of cardiac care professionals,
fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and
accreditation standards related to cardiovascular care.
Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring the
efficient use of resources.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other
healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor key
performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement in patient care
and service delivery.
Facilitate staff training, education, and professional
development opportunities to enhance clinical competencies and knowledge.
Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all
cardiovascular equipment and technologies.
Participate in hospital-wide strategic planning and
contribute to the growth and development of cardiovascular services.
Must-Haves:
Education:Bachelors degree is required.
Licensure:Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state RN
license.
Experience:3-5 years of supervisory experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
Clinical Experience:At least 5 years of training, education, and/or experience as a Cardiac
Cath Lab RN.
Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire and Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
Nice-to-Haves:
Education:Masters degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field
is preferred.
Qualifications:
Strong leadership and management skills, with the
ability to lead a multidisciplinary team effectively.
In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular care, particularly
in cardiac catheterization procedures and technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with
the ability to collaborate with various departments and professionals.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities,
with a focus on quality improvement and patient safety.
Experience in budgeting, resource management, and
strategic planning.
