The Occupational Therapist will work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team to assess, develop, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with brain injuries or brain-based disorders. The role involves evaluating functional status, setting treatment goals, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, and contributing to research and innovation efforts.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate students using standardized clinical tools, establish treatment goals, and modify plans based on assessments and evidence-based outcomes.Prepare and modify IEPs in a timely manner; coordinate strategies with the interdisciplinary team.Educate patients, families, and caregivers; participate in multidisciplinary conferences and team meetings.Provide accurate documentation of treatment, including session notes, reports, and forms.Engage in research activities, prepare and submit reports, participate in Grand Rounds and company Innovation meetings, and assist in developing educational modules for staff.Work closely with special education teachers, therapy teams, and parents; utilize a multi-sensory approach in treatment plans.Prepare and submit IEP reports and session notes.Report seizure-like events as applicable.Help research assistants and paraprofessionals understand and utilize students' IEPs.Complete annual research integrity and continuing education training.
