DIRECTOR OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

Horizon Health is seeking a Program Director to oversee the Behavioral Health Program at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma. This unit is a 20 bed geriatric inpatient psych unit. Included in these responsibilities are:the development and maintenance of a high-quality treatment program;the development and implementation of a comprehensive community relations program;strategic planning, program administration, and development.Responsibilities:

Performs as liaison between Program, Hospital and Horizon; communicating information and needs appropriatelySupports Hospital and Horizon missions, goals and objectivesProvides leadership and direction in accordance with Hospital guidelinesProvides clinical supervision for Program nursing, counseling, patient support and administrative staffDevelops, in coordination with assigned VP, Clinical Practice, implements and updates all policies and procedures for the ProgramIn coordination with the Hospital, ensures the Program meets and maintains all federal, state, local and accrediting bodies' regulations and standardsParticipates in assessing and reassessing the program needs of the patientSupervises all patient care and sets guidelines for accurately reporting and recording of patient symptoms, reactions, and progressDevelops processes to audit and coordinate ongoing education to ensure all staff are trained on proper documentation of all aspects of the patient's careRecruits, interviews, and selects qualified staff for the ProgramProvides for professional growth and development of staff through identification of needs, development of individual training plans and participation in training programsBenefit Highlights:
