Vice President – Hospice ! The Vice President of Hospice will plan, direct, and control activities of the hospice division to accomplish budgeted financial and exceptional patient care.Key Responsibilities:Plans, recommends, and monitors policies and programs that further the organization’s mission, hospice care, and end-of-life care.Directs, leads, develops, and monitors the provision of high-quality, cost-effective hospice care by all staff, volunteers, and vendors throughout the service area.Develops strategic plan and annual operating plan for hospice services in congruence with organizational plans and in cooperation with executive leadership.Develops, implements, and monitors consistent application of policies and guidelines.Develops, recommends, and implements an annual budget for hospice services.Periodically evaluates all programs, projects, and policies related to hospice.Assures compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and standards governing the operation of a Medicare-certified hospice.Performs or delegates any other duty or responsibility as requested by the President/CEO.Key Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, or related degree is required.Master’s degree in health care administration, related field, or a patient care discipline is highly preferred.A minimum of 7 years experience in a leadership role within hospice, preferably multi-site.Residency in Iowa is highly preferred; relocation assistance is provided.Committed to attracting and retaining a diverse staff, Care Initiatives will honor your experiences, perspectives, and unique identity.
