Corporate Accountant at Bridge,

you will join a team that enjoys a flexible work environment and contribute to the success of the company by providing accurate general accounting services, including the review and oversight of journal entries, assisting in the development of documented policies, procedures, and controls; identifying control weaknesses; and recommending or implementing steps to remediate any deficiencies. The Staff Accountant will work closely with and assist Senior Accountants. You may also be responsible for reviewing and overseeing basic accounting functions, including monthly bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, daily and monthly cash disbursements, deposits of receipts, and balance sheet reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in US GAAP, help research and implement new accounting standards as they are released, and manage expectations for new standards. You will also be responsible for helping in researching best practices across the industry and finding ways to implement those high standards at Bridge.Your role will include analysis and preparation of monthly financial statements.The review of periodic financial statements includes: performing actual vs. budget variance analysis;managing the allocation of corporate overhead expenses and fees to Bridge affiliates; andassisting with acquisition and consolidation accounting. A vital part of the role will also be finding ways to improve processes, be more efficient and reduce the preparation and review time of such financials.What you should bringA bachelor’s in accounting, masters preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls1-3 years of corporate accounting experienceExperience with general ledger functions and month- and year-end close processesProficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelExperience reviewing complex transactions and contractsAbility to research unknown and newly issued GAAP pronouncements and identify how they impact our businessWhat you can be part ofYou will be joining a team that is genuinely collaborative and who supports each other through constant teamwork.
