Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Med/Surg and ICU to lead our critical care and medical-surgical units in Vernal, UT. This leadership role requires a dedicated nursing professional with strong clinical expertise in both med/surg and ICU settings, combined with proven leadership experience. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, staff management, and patient care quality in these departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and operational management
for the Med/Surg and ICU departments, ensuring the delivery of
high-quality, patient-centered care.
Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of
patient care services in alignment with hospital policies and regulatory
standards.
Manage and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive
and collaborative work environment.
Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, and
procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in patient care.
Monitor and improve patient outcomes, patient satisfaction,
and clinical performance metrics.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and
departments to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations,
as well as accreditation standards.
Manage departmental budgets, including staffing,
equipment, and supplies, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Participate in hospital-wide initiatives and committees
to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
Must-Haves:
Licensure:Active and valid Utah Registered Nurse (RN) license at the time of hire.
Experience:Clinical experience in medical-surgical (med/surg) or intensive care unit
(ICU) nursing.
Leadership Experience:
A minimum of two years of leadership experience in a
healthcare setting.
Certifications:Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support
(PALS).
Nice-to-Haves:
Education:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Qualifications:
Strong leadership and management skills, with the
ability to inspire and guide a team of nursing professionals.
In-depth knowledge of med/surg and ICU nursing
practices, patient care standards, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with
the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work
