About our Director of Clinical Information Systems:
The Director of Clinical Information Systems is a crucial member of the Information Technology (IT) team, reporting to the Director of Information Technology. The director is responsible for overseeing the selection, development, implementation, and adoption of advanced clinical systems that deliver maximum value across the organization. This role requires the ability to work independently while also establishing technical and best practice processes to improve the health center team and patient experience within CHS.
What we are looking for:
Education : Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree strongly preferred in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
Required Experience : 7+ years of experience delivering and supporting clinical systems, which includes at least 3 years of leadership of EHR/clinical IT solutions and experience implementing or upgrading an integrated electronic health record (EHR) Nextgen and/or eClinicalWorks in at least one health system. Experience with integrated/interfaced devices, applications, and workflows, application architecture & infrastructure design/concepts pertaining to large-scale application deployment strategies. Experience with vendor relationship management.
What you will do:
Responsible for the overall management and training of EHR/PM applications (both clinical and financial) deployed across the organization.
Continuous workflow analysis of all clinical applications.
Responsible for implementing and supporting all software that interfaces with EHR/PM applications.
Provides support for the advancement of and success of EHR/PM applications.
Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the EHR/ PM systems, with assistance from EHR Team Leads, Network Administrators, and Software Developers.
Provides leadership, activity planning, coordination, and directions to complete the assigned project team tasks, produce the required deliverables, track and resolve issues, and meet the relevant system milestones.
Monitors the status of the system and takes any steps necessary to re-direct priorities, re-direct resources, re-define the work, etc., to ensure completion of system tasks in an agreed-upon timeframe.
Responsible for the resolution of all issues escalated to the EHR Steering Committee and the Executive Leadership Team.
Manage future updates of all EHR/PM applications.
Collaborates with IT, clinical, RCM, and financial leadership teams to support clinical, business, and technology initiatives and ensure the completion of IT deliverables.
Works closely with the analytics team to build a robust clinical data architecture to support UDS+ and other clinical quality initiatives.
Collaborates with the research team on science initiatives.
Assists leadership in building and sustaining a technology ecosystem.
