Our firm is seeking a talented
Senior Accountant
to join one of our best clients' teams. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all financial accounting activities, serving as the right hand to the Controller and ensuring that financial records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be proficient in Excel, QuickBooks, and preferably 365 Business Central (formerly Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains).Responsibilities include:
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.AR/AP (invoices, sales orders, collections, posting deposits, book vendor invoices, payments to vendors).Perform double entry bookkeeping and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded in the general ledger.Reconcile accounts receivable and payable and ensure that all invoices are accurately recorded and paid on time.Reconcile customer accounts.Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.Manage debits/credits.Experience working with fixed asset schedules (depreciation is a plus but not required).Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.Advanced knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in accounting software: Dynamics 365 Business Central, QuickBooks, & Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience with general ledger reconciliation and accounts receivable and payable management.Ability to help prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.A background in accounting for manufacturing or distribution companies would be a huge plus.
