EHR Application Specialist

Assists EHR Manager in the permanent operation of Nextgen Electronic Health Records (EHR) system and other clinical applications in use by Sunset Health staff. Ensures appropriate set up is in place for the EHR system to run effectively, including platform requirements, account configuration, training opportunities, etc. Coordinates trainings with department managers and users to ensure understanding of the functions of the EHR system. In addition, Application Specialist performs system configuration and daily maintenance to other ancillary tools such as telehealth (OTTO), lab interfaces (Relaymed, Sonora Quest, Labcorp), specialized portals, etc. Conducts audits to ensure that the EHR is being maximized and that the system is functioning appropriately. Participates in the implementation of upgrades, software patches, interfaces, workflow improvement projects, etc.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

If not already obtained, Fingerprint Clearance card application must be submitted within 5 business days of employment.Must be able to successfully pass a background check and a health and drug screen.Certification/Registered Medical Assistant or AAS degree in related field from an accredited college or University required.Minimum of four years of experience utilizing and/or managing Electronic Practice Management (EPM), Electronic Health Records (EHR), Electronic Dental Records (EDR) or in a healthcare setting preferred.Experience facilitating training in a classroom environment on clinical healthcare applications or systems preferred.
