Offer would be commensurate with job level and experience.Schedule: Monday - FridayGENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARYProcesses vendor invoices and corporate card transactions ensuring proper accounting, coding, and timely remittance; communicates and resolves payment issues with vendors and government agencies by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReceives invoices from vendors and other bank personnel, verifies and obtains payment authorizations; reviews invoices and follows established guidelines to select proper accounting treatment and general ledger coding of expenses, makes corrections when necessary; posts invoice payments into processing software ensuring accuracy and timeliness; works with vendors and other bank personnel to resolve discrepancies.Coordinates transfer of corporate purchase card data from bank personnel, reviews transactions and analyzes descriptions to ensure proper expense classification and coding, resolves and corrects issues and discrepancies as needed to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely posting of transactions into general ledger; serves as a user administrator of bank's corporate card application software by creating new user accounts and keeping existing accounts current.Reviews and prepares funds collected from bank customers and remits them to the federal government upon supervisor's review; ensures funds are appropriately coded for reporting and remittance purposes and prepares supporting reconciliations.Maintains the master vendor file by entering new and updating existing vendor information ensuring proper coding to comply with IRS informational reporting requirements; updates and maintains procedures pertaining to accounts payable activity.Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Associate’s degree in an accounting related field and one year accounting related experience, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.Preferred:

Associate’s degree in an accounting related field and two years accounting related experience, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.SKILLS and ABILITIES:Ability to keyboard 35 wpm and operate a 10-key calculator by touch required. Word processing and spreadsheet software experience required.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial documents, general business periodicals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to vendors and bank employees.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
