Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Software Developer to fill an open position with one of our banking clients. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. You'll design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes, while also consulting with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software. Additionally, you'll modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces, and provide maintenance of software systems.Responsibilities:Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces to improve performance.Design and develop software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications, and resolve customer problems.Advise customers about maintenance of software systems.The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively.Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, troubleshooting issues, and making system changes as needed.Proficiency in computer development software such as SQL, Java, J2EE, etc.Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant field required, along with 4 to 5 years of experience.Technical skills in .NET and Kafka, with a background in technology preferred.Flexibility with Oracle database is a plus.Soft skills including good communication, outspokenness about technology, willingness to learn, and adaptability.
