OPPORTUNITYThe School Mental Health Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and providing mental health prevention, intervention, and postvention services to meet the needs of students and families at Green Dot campuses (this position will be based at our Ánimo Inglewood location). This is a one-year grant-funded position through August 31, 2025, with the opportunity to renew.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as a leader within the School Mental Health Services Team, MTSS team, and Coordination of Services Team to ensure that mental health programs are meeting goals and objectives of Green Dot Public Schools.

Gather and analyze mental health data for students and monitor student progress.

Support the collection of metrics such as client satisfaction survey, referrals, enrollment, parent contact, outcome measures for depression/anxiety and trauma symptoms, and crisis support on the School Mental Health Services approved platform.

Assist in School Mental Health Services team projects as needed.

Ensure mental health support of specialized subgroups, such as Homeless/Foster youth, LGBTQ+, African American, Emerging Bilinguals, and students with differing abled abilities.

Collaborate with School Leaders to ensure that the mental health needs of Green Dot Public Schools are being appropriately and adequately addressed.

Provide ongoing crisis intervention and case management services to assigned site and required personnel.

Assist in the assessment of the psychosocial needs of clients and families and work closely with school staff to meet the psychosocial needs of clients and families.

Serve as a liaison between clients, clinical staff, and school staff.

Supervise and support a team of Interns to provide direct individual and group clinical supervision.

Manage and respond to day-to-day concerns related to interns and trainee performance and needs.

Collaborate with the School Mental Health Services Program Manager/School Mental Health Supervisor II regarding intern training, documentation, and additional School Mental Health Services related activities.

Assist in the development and facilitation of on-going professional development and development of program educational materials and training manuals.

Complete evaluations of interns and trainees for graduate schools.

Carry a caseload of clients (individual & group).

Coordinate with community partners that assist in providing social-emotional supports & services.

Support the development of MOUs & ensure that community partners meet compliance annually.

Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and other meetings and trainings as directed.

QUALIFICATIONSAs an ideal candidate, you:

Have a master’s in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy or related field.

Have a current CA LCSW or CA LMFT license (required).

Have successful supervisory and/or therapy experience in a school-based setting.

Have a current CA Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Social Work or School Counseling (preferred but not required).

Are bilingual – Spanish fluency in both written and oral language (preferred but not required).

Have a passion for supporting students, families and schools.

Are able to take initiative and follow through on projects and programs.

Are able to both work independently and collaborate at a high level of professionalism.

Are dependable, humble, have a sense of humor and a rock-solid commitment to Green Dot’s mission and the communities we serve.

Will need to pass a TB test and background check at time of offer.

COMPENSATIONThe starting salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000. Opportunities for salary growth are available over time; however, offers near the upper end of the salary range are uncommon. Individual education and experience will be considered when issuing offers.
