The role requires an experienced and qualified Educator to lead a team of Educators to ensure they are working in accordance to policy and procedures. This role is highly dynamic and creative, giving the right candidate the opportunity to deliver a truly inspiring Montessori early learning experience.Responsible for the guidance, support and general supervision of staff, students and volunteers in the roomTo develop the Children's Program (reflecting Early Years Learning Framework guidelines).In compliance with the OH&S Policy, ensure a safe environment is maintained for staff and children, with particular attention to children with anaphylaxis, allergies, asthma etc.To ensure that accurate records are kept in regards to accident, incident, injury, illness and medicationTo liaise with families in regards to the day to day happenings.To maintain observations and records of individual children's progress, particularly those identified through staff observation.Essential criteriaCert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent)Experience working as a Room Leader in an early childhood settingCurrent Working with Children CheckFirst Aid Certificate or willing to obtain oneExcellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environmentStrong understanding of the importance of family communicationsStrong understanding of the Montessori PhilosophyWell versed with Montessori learning materials, the curriculum areas, and progressionPassionate about implementing Montessori early learning programsCommitment to the holistic development of their classThink you have what it takes to join the Montessori Academy Team?
