Staff Revenue Accountant .
Job SummaryThe Staff Revenue Accountant is a key collaborator in the execution of daily and monthly operations of revenue accounting and reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and corporate policies. This role will also assist with understanding and interpreting technical accounting, implementing revenue process improvements, and various aspects of the billing/revenue systems. The Staff Revenue Accountant also assists with month-end reporting and the year-end audit. This is a hybrid role.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:Execute review of sales contracts, including escalation of significant and/or non-standard deals to Technical Accounting teamEnsure all sales data moves accurately from Salesforce CPQ into Sage Intacct for revenue recognition and timely client invoicingPartner with Service Operations to ensure accuracy of time and billing rates in time tracking systemAssist with requests from Sales and Sales Operations Teams related to standard revenue recognitionComplete month-end close activities including revenue, deferred revenue and unbilled revenue reconciliationsParticipate in process improvement initiatives for Order to Cash processAssist in external financial audits including preparation of PBCs/supporting schedulesMaintain up-to-date knowledge of authoritative accounting guidance on ASC 606 revenue recognition
Qualifications:I. Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
II. Experience:
1-3 years of public accounting or accounting experience at a SaaS companyExperience in a Big 4 public accounting firm is a plusStrong knowledge of US GAAP
III. License(s)/Certification(s):CPA license or in pursuit of CPA license (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Experience handling complex accounting matters and demonstrating competency in US GAAPExperience with Salesforce CPQ and/or Intacct is a plusAbility to partner with and influence cross-functional personnelStrong technical accounting knowledge
