We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance to join our team. The VP of Finance is responsible for managing the accounting operations and financial health of the company.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Prepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards and policies
Analyzes financial performance and works with the leadership team to identify gaps and prioritize closing the gaps
Analyzes financials and articulates key trends to leadership team
Partners with COO to identify and solve high impact financial issues
Works closely with leadership team to identify key areas of revenue growth
Understands how to apply the concepts of Theory of Constraints - specifically how to measure and improve throughput
Works closely with the leadership team to develop growth and profitability goals and strategies
Direct activities relating to and preparation of the annual operating/financial budget
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws regarding finances, taxes and reporting
Directs activities and prepares month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close requirements
Prepares journal entries
Manage cash flow
Assists the team in processing selected financial transactions, Journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.
Assist in the processing and accounting of payroll
Researches and resolves internal and external customer inquiries
Ad hoc projects and analysis to support the leadership team
Work a minimum of 40-45 hours per week, with regularly scheduled hours before and after standard, 8am – 5pm business hours and/or weekend responsibilities
Management Responsibilities
Manage, support, and coach the Accounting team, ultimately improving their ability to succeed within their roles.
Perform and maintain all performance records including regularly scheduled performance reviews, personal development plans, and all other performance related situations for all direct reports.
Attend regularly scheduled management meetings; participate in the weekly team meetings; ensure the teams are aligned with organization objectives and goals.
Demonstrate the company’s core values and culture
Required Education, Training, and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related business field
5-10 years of experience in accounting role
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
