Legal Administrative Assistant

within the

Labor & Employment Practice Group

in our

San Diego office .

To thrive in this role, you will ensure that all documents have been proofread, edited, and revised as necessary. You will manage calendars, travel schedules, and accurately record billable and unbillable time. The ability to handle the day-to-day juggling of the work of multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment is key to your success.

The hours are

Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with some remote flexibility.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Manage files, open new matters as requested by attorneys, and maintain all relevant document inclusions for the files

Ensure that all documents have been proofread, edited, and revised as necessary

Manage calendars and travel schedules

Accurately record billable and unbillable (client and administrative) time spent in the correct file matters

Anticipate the needs of Attorneys and keep Attorneys organized

Develop and maintain smooth working relationships with staff, Attorneys, and clients

Create tasks, upload, and send emails in client document management system

Respond to phone calls and emails in a professional manner

Experience and Qualifications:

2 plus years experience as a litigation legal administrative assistant within a mid-size law firm

Must be familiar with California Rules of Civil Procedure

Experience with e-filing

Excel, Word, OneNote, and Outlook proficiency

Extensive State and Federal filing experience

The pay range for this position is $35.00 to $45.00 per hour depending on years of experience.
