The University of New Mexico (UNM), College of Nursing (CON) is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the CON is a leader and champion in the areas of assessment, accreditation, mentorship, and curricular innovation. The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs provides college-level leadership, management, and oversight of all academic affairs of the CON. In this context, academic affairs refers to all activities involving the creation, maintenance, revision, or deletion of curriculum, courses, sequences of courses, and programs of study offered by or within the College; all managerial activities related to that curriculum (including periodic assessments, required reporting, and accreditation/licensure requirements); the support of faculty and students in the delivery of that curriculum. This will include student performance reviews and discipline, grade appeals, and other resolutions. The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs serves as a key member of the CON Leadership team, providing strategic leadership to develop a future vision of the CON to enhance current and emerging programs and the stewardship of resources, personnel, and collaboration within the CON, UNM, and across the state. This position reports to the Dean.Responsibilities:Collaborate with program directors, faculty, and others to foster a climate of academic excellence; interdisciplinary initiatives; diversity, equity, and inclusion, interpersonal communication; collaboration, and consensus building across the organization.Work within the established faculty governance structure as appropriate regarding curriculum and policy development affecting programs and the associated concentrations.Ensure the curriculum aligns with the mission of the CON as it relates to all accreditation standards and is delivered in an environment that emphasizes professionalism at all levels.Ability to implement/execute and complete the evaluative process for CCNE assessment of all curricular programs.Lead accreditation and the accreditation renewal process, ensuring that the institution’s academic programs meet the standards set by accrediting bodies.Senior Leader Qualifications:Leading Change:

Collecting and analyzing data related to student learning outcomes, program effectiveness, and other key metrics.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:A PhD, DNP or related doctorate.Must be eligible for rank of Associate Professor or Professor.Must be eligible for nursing licensure in New Mexico.Record of progressive leadership and development while overseeing major academic and scholarship programs.Demonstrated leadership in the mentorship and development of faculty, students, and staff.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with curricular development in undergraduate and graduate programs.Experience or knowledge with accreditation processes.Previous experience with academic and student affairs.A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.Application Instructions:
