The chosen candidate will work closely with the senior management with the execution of the accounting and finance functions while balancing ad hoc projects. Timely execution of portfolio company financial reporting, budgeting and valuations is paramount.The candidate will join a highly collaborative and motivated team in a dynamic environment with substantial opportunity to create value and contribute to the TDP’s growth. Qualified candidates should demonstrate a strong desire and passion for accounting, finance, M&A, and a great goal-oriented attitude.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide effective financial analysis and management assistance for budgeting, planning, and reporting requirementsAssist with standing up financial operations for an operating company and training and developing accounting and finance team membersDevelop and maintain controls over financial reporting, treasury and risk management.Identify, monitor and evaluate systems to report and summarize portfolio company KPIsAssist portfolio companies with the execution of timely, accurate reporting of portfolio company financials and deliverables to firm management and Boards including monthly/quarterly/annual financials, and annual tax and audit deliverables within agreed upon timeframesPreparing financial diligence items and packages for lenders, investment bankers and other key stakeholdersPerform quarterly valuations of portfolio companies using the income and market approachDetailed tracking and calculations of portfolio cap tables and waterfall mechanicsVendor assessments of accounting, payroll, IT, ERP and other systemsDevelop and maintain current knowledge on FASB and GAAP accounting pronouncements relating to private equity backed portfolio companiesEnsure strict confidentiality with all matters within the roleRequirements3+ years of prior accounting & finance within public accounting (Audit or Transaction Services groups), FP&A or strategic accounting and finance rolesPrior experience with valuation and business modelingPrior experience with financial planning and analysisPrior experience with accounting software, but not requiredAdvanced in Microsoft Office productsBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, advanced degrees a plusCPA and/or CFA designation strongly preferredCompensationHighly competitive compensation consisting of base salary and an annual performance bonus.Apply for this job
