Under the general direction of the Program Manager of the Consumer Affairs Branch (CAB), the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II) is responsible for:Planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Consumer Affairs Branch (CAB) Quality Assurance Unit.Planning and directing the development of CAB training programs.Reviewing analytical studies and surveys.Formulating procedures, policies, and program alternatives.Strategic planning and administrative functions such as budget control and contract management for CAB.Identifying emerging consumer issues and recommending policies or changes to existing regulations affecting consumer programs.Communicating directly with utility representatives regarding consumer issues.Working Conditions

This is a statewide recruitment. This position can be filled in the following locations: San Francisco, Sacramento, or Los Angeles.Positions at the CPUC may be eligible for telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, and subject to meeting the telework eligibility criteria.
