JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the management team, under the supervision of CCHIP Director of Quality & Evaluation, the Data/Quality Manager is responsible for data entry, data analytics, ensuring accuracy of data, and timely submission of all required CDPH, IDPH, HRSA data reports; monitoring data quality according to specifications; performing data analysis in conjunction with supervisors; reporting data as required to external agencies, and for use by the Senior Data Manager and CCHIP Program Director.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the design and production of data collection instruments for use with various CORE/CCHIP program databases.

Complete HRSA Funded Data Reporting for the Ruth M. Rothstein CORE Center under the direction of the Project Administrator.

Assist with compiling CCHIP/CCH data for requests for proposals.

Assist with the collection of productivity tables for CCHIP HIV Program.

Master the use of CareWare and PROVIDE software to complete required reports and assist staff in producing mandated and customized reports. Maintain familiarity with software revisions.

Produce and submit requested periodic and special reports via electronic and written means.

Submit monthly, quarterly, and yearly CDPH and HRSA data reports (CLD, Monthly spreadsheets, RSR).

Report weekly productivity reports to the CCHIP Program Director, Director of Quality & Evaluation, and monthly financial reports to staff.

Assist in developing effective approaches to facilitate complete and accurate data collection and analysis.

Perform data entry and data cleaning in several areas, including Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program eligibility: demographics, service utilization, laboratory results, and other clinical indicators.

Assist in developing and maintaining systems and procedures for data security and confidentiality tracking and documentation.

Participate in CCHIP Quality Improvement Committee meetings and weekly data team meetings.

Supervise the collection of clinical and program operations data from CCHIP personnel.

Enhance professional development and maintain an area of specialization: Continue to receive training and share with others the work done within the program.

Participate in the training and development of CCHIP staff with data reporting.

Participate in all required trainings, conferences, and learning collaborative.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS



Knowledge/Skills/Experience

Minimal Formal Education Required: Bachelor’s degree and professional experience in a clinical environment. Minimal Length & Nature of Experience: Experience in a clinical environment required. 1 year of experience working with HIV impacted clients and ethnic minority groups preferred. Prior management and program administration experience required. Experience with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel required.

Special Knowledge and Skills

preferred:

Strong knowledge and experience pertaining to computer databases. Excellent skills in the establishment of databases, including relational databases and statistical files; ability to perform descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. Ability to interpret and evaluate health care and medical data, including those pertaining to service utilization and program evaluation measures, laboratory and clinical results, and quality assurance. Familiarity with standard reporting requirements and reporting formats. Experience working with CAREWARE, Cemer, and Provide preferred.

Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and a culturally sensitive approach to management and service delivery is beneficial. Computer skills demonstrated by effectively blending management skills with technical expertise required.
