COMPANY BACKGROUND:

Polyglass is a leading manufacturer of modified bitumen roofing membranes and waterproofing materials in the United States and Europe with manufacturing locations in Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, Nevada, and Arizona. Polyglass is one of the largest and fastest growing subsidiaries within Mapei, a global manufacturer of adhesives, sealants and chemical products for the building industry. Polyglass USA’s headquarters is located in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

OVERALL OBJECTIVES:

Polyglass USA seeks a hands-on, operationally savvy and strategically oriented financial professional to lead the integration within a dynamic manufacturing organization. This position will report to the President/Chief Executive Officer with a dotted line to the Regional CFO – North America. The Director of Finance and Accounting will manage the day-to-day financial operations, GL Accounting, FP&A as well as the future financial growth of the organization and oversee the Accounting Department.

MAJOR GOALS:

The Director of Finance and Accounting will assume a strategic role in the overall management and leadership of the financial operation, all accounting practices and procedures, accounts, and reporting systems, including establishing and implementing the company’s key performance metrics, production of periodic financial reports and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results in compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and enforcement of internal controls. The Director of Finance and Accounting will act as a true business partner and advisor to the CEO and financial liaison between the Company and the parent organization (MAPEI SPA) in all financial operations.

This role will oversee the company’s strategic plan involving managing all financial matters as well.

Drive timely, consistent and accurate reporting for sales, margins, trend, forecasting, analysis, recommendations to company executives and business partners with the Parent Organization.

Improve weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting processes and annual financial statements by meeting Corporate and Regional Deadlines.

Evaluate, maintain and enhance the cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.

Present critical objectives to managers and staff to ensure that all constituents understand the company’s direction, trends, and changes in the operating model(s).

Manage the company’s relationships with external auditors.

Partner with Human Resources to develop the financial structure of the company to enhance morale during change management transition and encourage a people first culture.

Contributing as a major team member of the Polyglass Executive Leadership Team that will determine the growth strategy and objectives of the Polyglass business.

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

Must have a minimum of 8 years progressive growth in financial management positions, including most recent experience as a Controller or Senior Financial Manager with a sizeable operation, within a multi-unit manufacturing operation.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and MBA preferred.

Possess demonstrated experience and accomplishments in core finance areas such as strategy, FP&A, and cash management along with in-depth operations experience within a manufacturing environment including impeccable customer service and collaboration with personnel at all levels of the organization.

Must have working knowledge of all controllership functions for internal controls, internal reporting, audit process, budgeting, cash management systems.

Must have extensive experience in cash flow management, cost accounting, analysis and financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting. Monitor daily and monthly expenses and ensure expenditures are in line with budgeted numbers.

Must have a strong profit orientation with knowledge in costing/pricing, including a successful track record of partnering with Sales Leadership to achieve profitable sales.

Must have a proven track record of building and developing exceptional teams, designing innovative strategies and executing tactics to achieve growth objectives.

Direct oversight of cost accounting, costing procedures (inventory, COGS) and analytics (designs, allocations, reporting).
