We are seeking an Endocrinology Physician to join our team in New Brunswick.

The Endocrinologist specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases related to the endocrine system, which includes glands that produce hormones. This role focuses on conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, metabolic imbalances, and other hormone-related health issues. The Endocrinologist works closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
    • Diagnose and treat disorders of the endocrine system, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, adrenal disorders, osteoporosis, and reproductive issues
    • Conduct thorough examinations, including reviewing patient history, physical exams, and ordering diagnostic tests such as blood tests, imaging, and biopsies
    • Develop individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, recommending lifestyle changes, and discussing surgical options when necessary
    • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments based on response and health changes
    • Educate patients on managing chronic endocrine conditions, such as diabetes or thyroid disease, and provide guidance on hormone therapy

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of endocrine disorders, treatment options, and current best practices
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, particularly in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and thyroid disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information to patients in an understandable way.
  • Empathy and patience in dealing with patients who may be managing lifelong chronic conditions
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple patient cases

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
    • Completion of a residency program in internal medicine
    • Completion of a fellowship in endocrinology
    • Board certification or eligibility in endocrinology
