Role:
As the Information Technology (IT) Manager, you will oversee the technology infrastructure and operations across all ITAV locations. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective and efficient use of technology to support the educational and administrative needs of the schools. The IT Manager will lead the IT team, manage technology projects, and ensure the security and reliability of IT systems. This role includes hiring and supervising one IT staff member and reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Refine IT Department:
Cultivate a comprehensive IT department ensuring alignment with ITAV's mission and strategic goals and develop a clear organizational structure and defined roles and responsibilities within the IT team.
Formulate and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
Regularly review and update IT policies to reflect the latest technological advancements and compliance requirements.
IT Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with ITAVs mission and vision.
Assess and recommend technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and educational outcomes across all programs.
Plan and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology investments.
Network and Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the maintenance and administration of network infrastructure, servers, and data across existing and future locations.
Ensure IT systems and infrastructure reliability, security, and scalability.
Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
IT Operations and Support:
Ensure timely and effective technical support for staff, students, and administrators.
Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and security.
Introduce and integrate new technologies and tools that enhance the educational and operational capabilities of ITAV.
Encourage a culture of innovation within the IT team, promoting the exploration and adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
Cybersecurity:
Develop a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with ITAVs mission and goals.
Conduct risk assessments to identify threats and vulnerabilities in IT systems and infrastructure.
Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect data and IT assets.
Regularly review and update security policies to reflect evolving threats and compliance requirements.
Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect data and systems from threats.
Train staff and students on cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
Innovation in Educational Technology:
Oversee and support integrating innovative educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
Promote and support technology integration in the classroom to enhance learning experiences.
Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in educational technology.
Lead technology projects and initiatives to improve IT infrastructure and services.
Data Management and Analytics:
Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security.
Develop and implement data management protocols, including data entry standards and data validation processes.
Oversee data management processes, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
Implement and manage data analytics tools to support decision-making and reporting.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
Miscellaneous
Develop and implement IT policies and procedures, ensuring consistent and efficient operations across all locations.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in IT management.
Participate in budget planning and financial forecasting for IT-related expenses.
Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Operations or senior leadership team.

Required Education & Training
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of network and infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and IT operations.
Proven experience with data management and analytics, including data governance, integration, and advanced analytics tools.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of managing and developing IT staff.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead complex technology projects from inception to completion.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Experience with educational technology and its integration into the curriculum.
