Summary of Job Duties:

The Associate AD for Marketing & Engagement will serve as a member of the department’s Leadership Team and is responsible for the oversight, management and operation of external marketing, community engagement, brand management and fan experience efforts for the Department of Athletics. The primary focus of this position is to create and execute a broad external strategy that promotes Trojan Athletics and increases revenue utilizing a multi-faceted approach, including grassroots marketing, digital and social media engagement, online/multimedia strategies, among other platforms.

This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management or related field;

A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Marketing, Communications, Sales or related field, preferably in a collegiate or professional athletics setting (Other comparable experience will be considered).

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Master’s Degree preferred.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create and manage marketing materials, such as advertising materials, brochures, and newsletters;

Assist with planning and executing events, including logistical coordination, guest and speaker planning, and post-event follow-up;

Engage with audiences through social media outreach;

Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and analyze consumer behavior;

Manage daily administrative tasks to ensure the marketing department runs smoothly;

Prepare reports on marketing and sales metrics, like conversion rates;

Monitor and report competitor sales and marketing activities;

Other job duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Must be able to develop meaningful and productive relationships with colleagues, coaches and student-athletes;

Strong background in writing, editing, design (print/web) and be able to oversee efforts of the Marketing & Branding unit;

Strong computer skills and related software capability;

Excellent management, organizational, analytical, and project management skills;

Ability to meet established deadlines and work effectively with diverse groups of internal and external constituents;

Ability to travel regularly and work on weekends, nights and holidays when necessary;

Ability to analyze, interpret, communicate, and adhere to Trojan Athletics, UA Little Rock, Ohio Valley Conference and NCAA policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

Salary Information: $75,000
