Open Until FilledJob Summary:This position reports to the Assistant Dean of the Career Development Office (CDO Dean) and works closely in all aspects of operating the Career Development office (CDO), including executive, strategic, operational, and administrative decision-making and oversight. The position involves directing and overseeing numerous programs, initiatives, and efforts while maintaining the strategic vision of the CDO Dean. The position is central to the success of the office, both in terms of day-to-day operations and in achieving long-term objectives.Responsibilities:Executive Management:

Assists CDO Dean in budget development, supervises expenditures, and maintains fiscal records; reviews and signs-off on in-office budget reports; provides supervision and training of Career Development staff; helps track trends and changes in the legal economy; identifies employment trends through data analysis.Program Management & Design:

Plans, coordinates, and conducts programming and networking events; utilizes area attorneys and alumni as panelists; presents at workshops on job seeking topics.Career Counseling:

Meets regularly with law students and alumni to provide career counseling; assists in identifying individual career goals; connects students with alumni mentors; provides guidance on job-search processes and work-related issues.Employer Outreach & Support:

Develops contacts with external organizations to expand employment opportunities; manages on-campus interview seasons; hosts career fairs.Employment Tracking & Data Reporting:

Collects and maintains student and graduate employment records; ensures timely submission of employment reports to external entities.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Eight years of progressively more responsible management experience; demonstrated leadership, human relations, and effective communications skills required.Preferences:JD preferred.
