Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

Responsibilities:
As our Estimator, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Utilizing on-screen takeoff techniques to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Assessing cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
- Conducting special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
- Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Reviewing material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
- Preparing estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
- Reviewing blueprints and specifications to determine the size, nature and type of construction components.
- Presenting and explaining proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
- Preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
- Conducting risk assessment to identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Proficient in on-screen takeoff, project estimation, cost management, project bidding, budgeting, material take-off (MTO), subcontracting, blueprint reading, negotiation, risk assessment, construction estimating, cost analysis.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Sage estimating software.
