We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a hybrid role, where you will be required to work in our office twice a month, with the opportunity to work remotely for the rest of the time. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll system and requires a candidate with a strong background in payroll and benefits administration.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Payroll Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time.
  2. Administering employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits.
  3. Conducting regular audits of 401K plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Handling employee terminations, including final pay calculations and exit interviews.
  5. Utilizing Yardi and Paylocity software for payroll processing and management.
  6. Providing ad hoc reports as requested by management, including payroll summaries, overtime reports, and benefits utilization.
  7. Staying updated on current regulations and best practices in payroll processing and benefits administration.
  8. Collaborating with Human Resources and Accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll and benefits administration.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Payroll Specialist role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  1. A minimum of two years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
  2. Proficiency in Yardi and Paylocity or similar payroll software.
  3. Experience conducting 401K audits.
  4. Familiarity with employee termination procedures.
  5. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  6. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  8. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  10. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
