Job Details:
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a hybrid role, where you will be required to work in our office twice a month, with the opportunity to work remotely for the rest of the time. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll system and requires a candidate with a strong background in payroll and benefits administration.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Payroll Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Administering employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits.
- Conducting regular audits of 401K plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Handling employee terminations, including final pay calculations and exit interviews.
- Utilizing Yardi and Paylocity software for payroll processing and management.
- Providing ad hoc reports as requested by management, including payroll summaries, overtime reports, and benefits utilization.
- Staying updated on current regulations and best practices in payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Collaborating with Human Resources and Accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll and benefits administration.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Payroll Specialist role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Proficiency in Yardi and Paylocity or similar payroll software.
- Experience conducting 401K audits.
- Familiarity with employee termination procedures.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
