As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be a key player in the financial operations of our organization. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire billing process for our patients, from insurance verification to payment collection.

Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Medical Billing Specialist to join our rapidly expanding team in the healthcare sector. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be a key player in the financial operations of our organization. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire billing process for our patients, from insurance verification to payment collection.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of patient billing, from insurance verification to payment collection.
2. Accurately process patient billing information into the Epic system.
3. Coordinate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely billing.
4. Resolve any billing discrepancies or errors promptly and professionally.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current medical billing and coding trends and regulations.
6. Assist with audits and reviews of patient accounts and billing processes.
7. Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding their billing inquiries and concerns.
8. Work closely with the finance team to ensure that billing procedures align with company policies and industry standards.
9. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or a related field.
2. Proficiency in the Epic system or equivalent medical billing software.
3. Strong understanding of medical billing and coding procedures.
4. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
6. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
7. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other patient privacy laws.
8. Ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies and errors.
9. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
10. Certification in Medical Billing or related field is a plus.
