Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing our accounting department's daily operations. You will work closely with a team of accountants to manage financial functions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and tax audits. Our ideal candidate uses strong analytical skills to create detailed financial reports and forecasts. To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of all aspects of financial management and be comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
2. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
3. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
4. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
5. Provide recommendations for improving systems and processes, and then initiate and manage these projects.
6. Meet financial accounting objectives.
7. Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements.
8. Manage budgeting and forecasting.
9. Implement and ensure compliance with all accounting and financial regulations and principles.
10. Collaborate with the financial management team to set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
11. Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.

A minimum of 5+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably in a managerial role.

Professional certification (such as CPA) is a MUST.

In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Proven track record of working for a PUBLIC company, SEC Reporting, Audit procedures, SOX compliance
